Kevin Phillips admitted it will be difficult for Rhian Brewster to break into the Liverpool team and claimed another loan move might be best.

The former England international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claims the striker, who celebrated his 20th birthday today, is likely to follow in the footsteps of the Chelsea stars who thrived on loan at Derby County.

Brewster signed on loan for Swansea in January and will likely remain there until the 2019/20 season is completed, Football Insider has learned.

Since arriving at the Liberty Stadium, the England under-21 international has scored four goals in 11 appearances.

Phillips feared it will become increasingly difficult for Brewster at Anfield with the possibility of Klopp adding to his front-line in the summer.

“For his progression, what they are doing with loaning him out is spot on,” he told Football Insider.

“We have seen it before with the lads that went to Derby under Frank and they are now flying at their respective clubs.

“Klopp obviously thinks highly of him because they have not sold him. He is developing under a manager that has a great track record for bringing players on and working with young players.

“But is he going to play in that team every week next season? No, he is not. So, I can see another loan.”

Abraham, who has scored 13 in 34 appearances this season, was given his chance at Stamford Bridge after loan spells at Aston Villa, Swansea and Bristol City.

However, Chelsea have been serving a two-window transfer ban after FIFA found them guilty of breaching 150 rules on 69 academy players.

In other Liverpool news, it can be REVEALED the Reds have set their sights on a Premier League 24-year-old to replace Salah or Mane.
