'An embarrassment', 'Small minded' - Celtic fans rip into rivals on Twitter after statement
Celtic fans on social media have reacted with incredulity to the statement released by Motherwell last night.
The statement from the Fir Park side mostly deals with the controversial referee decisions in the two games played between the steelmen and the Bhoys this week.
In both games, Celtic were awarded a penalty which left Motherwell livid.
In the Betfred Cup Final. a foul in the box on Scott Sinclair lead to Cedric Kipre being sent-off and Moussa Dembele putting Celtic 2-0 up.
Whilst in the league game, a foul on Callum McGregor lead to Scott Sinclair ramming home an 88th minute equaliser for the Bhoys.
The statement also makes reference to Celtic captain Scott Brown’s comments that Motherwell supporters had thrown objects at Celtic players on Wednesday night, and suggests that the incidents will be investigated.

Astonishing. Petty. Small minded. Unprofessional. What an embarrassment. Like something Sevco would have put out.

Jeez, Scottish fitba is bleak.
Rangers cheat for over a decade, SFA award a Euro licence when the rules say they can't, SPL put a poison pill into their own TV contract and clubs say it's pointless looking into it all.
Celtic get two penalties and now folk want inquiries.
