Hutton stunned by 'Unbelievable' Aston Villa player Nakamba
Alan Hutton has been left amazed by the “unbelievable” energy of Aston Villa defence-protector Marvelous Nakamba.
The former Holte End favourite, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, lauded the 27-year-old for his role in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Leeds United.
Villa have not conceded a single league goal while Nakamba has been on the pitch this season.
He has started against Burnley, Newcastle, Arsenal and Leeds, while he has featured from the bench versus Fulham, Liverpool, Wolves and Southampton.
Dean Smith admitted it had been hard to give Nakamba the game time he deserves but that he had never let the Villans down.
Hutton echoed his former manager’s thoughts and suggested a 4-3-3 formation got the best out of the midfielder.

Discussing Nakamba’s record while in the side, Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “I think that’s unbelievable.
“Fair play, he covers ever blade of grass, the boy, and he’s got an engine that’s unbelievable. I thought he was excellent the other night.
“He was tackling, always in the right place at the right time to make a block. I think what suits him is if Dean Smith changes to a 4-3-3 and there’s three of them in there, I think that’s where he’s best.
“He can get about and he can charge about. It kind of frees up John McGinn a little bit to get forward. He can give you that as a forward-thinking player.
“When they play a three, I think that’s what suits him best. When it’s a two, I don’t think where he plays his best. Great performance against Leeds and he’ll be needed moving forward.
“I think there’s a lot of big games coming up. There’s room in that midfield for him.”
