Whelan tells Liverpool to sign 'Raphinha's replacement' who's a 'joy to watch'
Noel Whelan insists Jeremy Doku would light up the Premier League if he signed for Liverpool.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has been blown away by the Belgium defender’s performances at Euro 2020.
On July 3rd, Italian journalist Rudy Galetti claimed Liverpool want to sign Doku with Rennes holding out for around £34million.
On July 3rd, the Express quoted Doku as saying “I always say no” when asked if he regrets not moving to Liverpool.
Whelan claims Liverpool should return for the defender as he still has lots of room to progress.

“Rennes are going through a bit of a tough one,” Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“They lost Raphinha to Leeds and now they might lose Duko, who was Raphinha’s replacement.
“They need to stop buying great players. But look, I was really impressed by him despite him being on the losing side against Italy.
“You saw that power and ability on the ball. He’s a really exciting player who can open up numerous doors with the quality and pace he has.
“He has loads of progression in him, he has so much time to get better and better.
“I do believe if he went to Liverpool under Klopp and playing alongside those players he would be an absolute spark.
“He would be an absolute joy to watch under Klopp.”
Raphinha joined Leeds from Rennes last summer and impressed during his debut Premier League campaign.
The Reds have also been credited with interest in the Leeds man in recent months.
