Wilfried Gnonto: Daniel Farke has to give Leeds United star chance to shine vs AFC Bournemouth

Wilfried Gnonto must be given a chance to shine for Leeds United in their upcoming Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth.

The Peacocks are on the road again on Wednesday as they travel to the Vitality Stadium.

After back-to-back Premier League victories, the pressure is now slightly off Daniel Farke and the rest of the squad, with survival virtually secured.

However, there is still a chance to win silverware this season, with Leeds set to play Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final on the weekend.

Therefore, after Gnonto has impressed for Leeds in his recent cameos, he must be given a start against Bournemouth as Farke looks to rest some of his key stars.

Bournemouth tie is perfect chance to let Wilfried Gnonto shine

Gnonto has no doubt had a tough season back in the Premier League, with injuries limiting his appearances.

However, in recent weeks, he has shown how good he still can be, impressing against both Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Against the latter club, in just 23 minutes, he created one chance, completed six passes, completed all of his dribbles and won all of his ground duels.

Now, with their recent victories giving Leeds some breathing space in the Premier League, Farke should look to rotate his team, resting some of his top stars for the Chelsea clash.

Noah Okafor, in particular, should be rested, giving Gnonto a perfect chance to prove his worth to Farke and Leeds against Bournemouth.

Will Gnonto be a Leeds player next season?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Leeds will consider letting go of Gnonto in the summer if they receive a big offer in the transfer window.

The winger is interested in the possibility of a move away from Elland Road at the end of the season, as he has found himself starved of regular gametime in recent months.

The success of the 3-5-2 formation has also not helped the attacker in terms of regular starts, with its success meaning that Farke is unlikely to change his tactics anytime soon.

As a result, the manager may look to trim his winger options in the summer, and Gnonto could be one of the first on the list to depart.
