William Saliba deal to be 'sorted out' after Arsenal hint - Campbell

Kevin Campbell has tipped Arsenal to “sort out” a new contract for William Saliba after another impressive display in the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker claimed the 21-year-old “makes such a difference” to Mikel Arteta’s side because of his composure on the ball.

Saliba scored and helped Arsenal keep a clean sheet in a 3-0 win at Brentford on Sunday (18 September).

Bees manager Thomas Frank was full of praise for the centre-half in his post-match press-conference.

As shown on Hayters TV (18 September), Frank predicted Saliba would be a starter for France in the very near future.

Saliba’s contract at the Emirates runs until the end of June 2024.

As quoted by Football.London (20 September), the France international hinted at signing an extension when he said he “feels at home” in north London.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Campbell said: “There is a new contract that is going to be sorted out.

“The quicker Arsenal fans see that the better.

“He is phenomenal. There was a lot said about Ivan Toney getting picked for the England squad. Toney was not a threat in the game at all. They nullified him.

“A lot of the good play starts from the back with Arsenal. Saliba’s passing and composure on the ball makes such a difference, it really does.”

In other news, a pundit suspects Arsenal are set to miss out on signing Douglas Luiz in January amid source’s reveal.
