Danny Mills claimed West Ham are the perfect fit for Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama with him facing a January exit.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former England international shared Wanyama could still do a decent job in the Premier League even if Spurs boss Jose Mourinho doesn’t think so.
It is believed Spurs will sell Wanyama for the right price with that figure believed to be £10million.
Mills explained that the midfield enforcer’s quality was unquestionable and that he is only facing an exit as he doesn’t fit in at Tottenham right now.
When asked if West Ham are the perfect fit for Wanyama given their previous interest, Mills told Football Insider: “Yeah definitely.
“Wanyama can still do a decent job, he just doesn’t fit Tottenham right now and that’s all it comes down to.
“Without a doubt, he’s still got quality, just because Mourinho doesn’t fancy him, it doesn’t mean someone else won’t.”
Wanyama has featured just four times for Spurs this season, with the loss to Colchester United being the only match he has appeared for 90 minutes in.
The Keyna international has been at Spurs since joining from Southampton in 2016 and is contracted to stay put until 2021.
In other West Ham news, it can be REVEALED that the club have plans in place for duo to take over next week.
