Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have signed 6ft 3in enforcer Kortney Hause to a new contract at Molineux, keeping the 22-year-old at the club until 2021.

The club announced the news on their official Twitter page and website and said that they were “delighted” to retain the player’s services.

And judging by the responses to the news, supporters were equally happy to hear the news.

The English-born defender broke into the Wolves first-team in 2015/16 season and became a mainstay in the centre-back role in the previous campaign.

But, this season Hause has been largely kept out of the side by the partnership of Roderick Miranda and Conor Coady, reducing the 22-year-old to just six appearances all season compared to the 30 of last year.

Nonetheless, fans were literally singing the player’s praises and want to see more of the centre-half who they feel is worthy of more opportunities in the side in place of the Portuguese enforcer.

One supporter said, “Superb news. The lad has some talent and great potential. Congratulations Kort.” and another added, “Good player with bags of potential.”

Here is a selection of Wolves fans reactions on Twitter to the news of the contract extension:
