Mateus Mane sends message as Arsenal agree to sign Liverpool rising star
The Gunners confirmed on Thursday that the 17-year-old will be part of the first-year scholarship intake for next season.
It emerged in August that the Premier League champions had reached an agreement with the England youth international, ahead of talks with Liverpool over a fee settlement.
Joseph was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this year, but has ultimately committed his future to Arsenal.
The striker is expected to join up at the Under-18 level, where he made his debut last season, scoring three goals in his first two games.
Arsenal have shown a clear drive towards youth signings this summer, also bringing in Mylo Bernard, Igor Tyjon, Andria Bartishvili and Axel Donczew, among others.
Vincent Joseph says goodbye to Liverpool
Joseph is seen as a big loss for the Liverpool academy. Previously an attacking midfielder, he has adapted into a more traditional striker and has made significant progress.
Appearing at the youth level for both Germany and England, the forward is seen as a potential future star.
While the Gunners are the Premier League champions, the usage of the likes of Max Dowman and Marli Salmon appears to be convincing young players that their futures may lie in North London.
Arsenal have also been credited with interest in Wolves star Mateus Mane, who made his breakthrough last season despite his team's struggles.
The 19-year-old stayed at Molineux this summer and is set for a season of experience in the Championship, with his contract set to expire in 2029.
Mane sent heart emojis on Instagram to Joseph following news of his Liverpool exit. The striker wrote: "After nine unforgettable years, the time has come to say goodbye.
"Thank you for the memories, and for making my time here truly special. You'll Never Walk Alone."

Per Mertesacker was loved in North London and certainly had a positive impact, but standards had started to slip and talents were leaving.
In hiring the Belgian, formerly, of BlueCo-owned Strasbourg, Arsenal have taken a step towards the modern day academy approach.
Talent will be stockpiled in order to both benefit the first team and profit off those who fall slightly below.
