'World class', 'Can't wait to win the Champions League' – Fans react to latest Leeds transfer report
Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter as Leeds look set to announce a deal for Ajax centre-back Pascal Struijk.
Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post announced that Struijk would be joining the Leeds Under-23 squad where the club is boosting numbers.
He announced the news on his personal Twitter page on Thursday night.
Pascal Struijk to join Leeds’ development squad. Teenage defender from Ajax and a Holland Under-17 International who was involved in the U17 Euros in 2016. #lufc seriously building up the numbers at that level.

Fans have reacted to the news with one Ajax supporter claiming the youngster is “world class” and could be the new “Jaap Stam”.
A Leeds fan joked that the Under-23 squad might have a chance of getting into the Premier League before the senior squad.
Another said that it was good to see the club looking to the future as well as the present, while one said that while it was good to see youngsters coming in, he really wants to see Leeds sign a new senior striker.

Can you ask at some point, what is the need to do this we are diluting our British kids and don't seem to invest in first team don't understand

A lot of people moaning towards these movements but I honestly think it’s great grounding for the future. Investing in young players and giving them a sturdy grounding for when the senior squad calls in years to come

Good business picking up young talent…granted we need 1st team players but u always got to keep 1 eye on the present and 1 on the future, if we get a decent striker and by some miracle go up we'll get spanked every week cos no strength in depth need numbers in all departments

When u have youngsters coming through ranks it needs to be in droves for all those that come through majority will fail,u only have small percentage make the grade… look at beckham & co took piss for a decade+ Rome weren't built in a day…!
That said buy a striker ????????????????????????— mark strutt (@mark_strutt) January 25, 2018
