Jadon Sancho would be a "world-class" signing for Liverpool and would walk into the front three.

That is the view of former Spurs and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Jurgen Klopp's interest in the Borussia Dortmund 21-year-old.

According to German publication Bild, the Reds hold a long-standing interest in the England international with Klopp a big admirer of his attributes.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday that Dortmund are open to selling the winger this summer for less than the £104million they demanded from Manchester United last year.

Robinson still doubts whether the Reds could afford to fund a deal for Sancho this summer.

"This time last year it was widely thought that nobody could penetrate that front three because they were just too good," he told Football Insider.

"But then you look at the impact Jota has had, he's been amazing for them.

"That front three have not been firing this season, Firmino and Mane have been severely lacking goals.

"I do not think you would get the goals from Jadon Sancho but he is a world-class player who gets into that front three.

"Last season Liverpool's front three were unbreakable but that is certainly not the case now. It is an area in which Liverpool will be looking to strengthen in.

"I just worry about Sancho's price tag. Manchester United didn't sign Sancho on the principle that he was overpriced. Given the current financial situation at Liverpool I doubt they could afford a bid for Sancho."
