Alex Bruce admits he has been blown away by Adama Traore’s “turnaround” at Wolves as he is linked with a major move this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Leeds defender has compared the Molineux star’s performances to Gareth Bale’s meteoric rise at Tottenham.
French outlet Le 10 Sport report that a host of European giants have all set their sights on the 24-year-old ahead of the summer window, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Having seen the winger frustrate the fans during his first season at Wolves, Bruce admits he has been dazzled by the speed demon’s displays this term.
Bruce told Football Insider: “What a turnaround. I mean we’ve seen it before where someone can just grab the bull by the horns.
“A little bit like a Gareth Bale where he wasn’t doing well, couldn’t get into the team and suddenly burst onto the scene and wow – he’s had a similar kind of impact. He’s been one of the standout performers in the Premier League.
“It doesn’t surprise me that the big boys are looking at him.”
Traore joined Wolves from Middlesbrough back in 2018 but struggled for form, with just one goal and one assist in 28 Premier League appearances – only eight of which were starts.
However, he has netted four times and set up a further seven goals in the same number of top-flight appearances, having missed just the opening game of the season.
In other Wolves news, Danny Mills has claimed that there is a “big bid” incoming for a Molineux ace.
