Paul Robinson has tipped Tottenham to sign another centre-half in January amid continued interest in Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 25-year-old would be a welcome addition at the London club despite the signing of Joe Rodon in the summer.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast last week, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that Inter Milan would accept an offer of £45million for the defender “tomorrow”.

Skriniar has made six appearances for Antonio Conte’s side this season and has started their last four games in all competitions.

When asked by Football Insider if Jose Mourinho was in need of another centre-half, Robinson said: "Joe Rodon has done excellently well since he came in.

"It was a vital signing before the deadline but I still think Mourinho will strengthen in that area next year.

"Rodon is still young, so is Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez has been frozen out. I think it is an area they will look at.

"Of course they have very strong options when you consider Alderweireld and Eric Dier as well but there is no harm in signing one more.

"Wow... A player that is of the level of Milan Skriniar would be a welcome addition."
