'Wow...' - Exclusive: Spurs big name tipped to go to stunning new level after big development

Danny Mills has tipped Son Heung-min to come back firing for Tottenham when the season restarts having completed his national military service.

The former Leeds and Manchester City full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 27-year-old will return “even hungrier” from his time in his native South Korea.

The winger returned to London earlier this month having completed his mandatory three-week military service whilst the Premier League was suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Football Insider revealed that Son, along with teammates Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko, will be fit for selection when the season resumes on 17 June.

Mills suggested the winger would have a new found appreciation for his job as a footballer having completed his conscription.

“Goals win you games,” he told Football Insider. “Son is absolutely excellent. He is superb.

“I expect him to come back even hungrier after what he has been through on national service. He might be thinking, “Wow. That is what I could be doing every single day of my life. How lucky am I?”

“So he might come back with a renewed freshness and vigour. When the games start he will be raring to go.”

The South Korea international has scored 16 goals and provided 9 assists in 31 appearances this season having missed the back end of February and the beginning of March with a broken arm.

Spurs are currently seven points off fourth-placed Chelsea and would require a near perfect run in their final nine games to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
