It seems highly likely that Charly Musonda’s time at Celtic could be coming to a premature end.
The Belgian attacker failed to make the squad completely for the Hoops’s trip to Hearts on Sunday, in a team which was announced on the club’s official Twitter account a short time ago.

The fact that the 21-year-old can’t even get in the squad for a match which is meaningless in the grand scheme of things looks ominous about his future in Glasgow.
The player was signed on an 18 month loan deal in January in a blaze of publicity, but he has rarely featured since then, and amidst rumours that Chelsea weren’t happy about the situation Brendan Rodgers revealed, as reported by the Daily Record, that the player could return to London in the summer.
It now looks all but inevitable that this will be the case, as the move just hasn’t worked out for the player or the club at all.
There is no doubt that Musonda has plenty of talent – his pass to Callum McGregor to set up the Hoops’ winning goal against Zenit is a prime example of that – but he doesn’t seem to have what is needed to cut it in the harsh world of the Scottish Premiership.
It will be interesting to see how he fares at Chelsea, but it is best for all involved that he leaves the Hoops at the end of the season.
