The writing is on the wall for Leeds 25-year-old if Monk pushes through deal for PL ace

Souleymane Doukara’s future has plunged even further into doubt after Leeds opened talks with Liverpool over the signing of exciting winger Ryan Kent.
The Sun have claimed that Garry Monk is in contact with the Merseyside giants over a possible move for the skillful winger, after an impressive loan spell with Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.
A move for Kent would be a huge coup for Monk’s side, but it could spell the end for French attacker Doukara as the 25-year-old’s contract enters its final stages.
Leeds’ number 11 has just over three months remaining on his current Elland Road deal with no suggestions that the versatile forward will have his stay in Yorkshire extended.
The former Catania forward has shone in glimpses this term, with his best highlight coming in the form of the January goal of the month award for his volley against Nottingham Forest.

However, too often this season Doukara has gone missing for Leeds in vital games where he has needed to produce. It has seen him drop out of the side in recent matches, with the likes of Alfonso Pedraza, Hadi Sacko and Kemar Roofe being preferred.
Monk has an abundance of wingers available to him at the moment, with the likes of Pedraza, Roofe, Sacko, Modou Barrow, Stuart Dallas, and Doukara all vying for a first-team slot.
Adding Kent to that equation would crowd the team out and lead to limited game-time for certain players.
Offloading Doukara, who will be seen as the most expendable member of Leeds’ wide options because of his form and contract situation, will make room for the potential signing of Kent.
