Zouma tipped to make 'easy' move from Chelsea to West Ham after update via Sky - pundit
Noel Whelan has backed West Ham to strike a deal to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds striker claimed the 26-year-old would make an “easy transition” from Stamford Bridge to the London Stadium.
As reported by Sky Sports (August 1st), West Ham are in talks over a deal for Zouma after making him their top centre-back target.
It is said the France international is very open to joining the Irons this summer.
However, there is reportedly a major hurdle in the shape of Chelsea’s valuation – around £25million – and the player’s wage demands.
Whelan suggested Zouma needs to be playing week in, week out to fulfil his potential.

He claimed West Ham could give him that opportunity.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “West Ham are looking at players that will make that transition very easily, so I can see it.
“In London still, he doesn’t have to move. It’d be an easy transition for him to travel that little bit further to West Ham. At the same time, he also knows the Premier League.
“He’s been here a number of years now. A player I still don’t think Chelsea have managed to see the best of. I still think there’s more in his game.
“Maybe he needs that stability and that 90 minutes week in, week out. Given that opportunity, it’s up to him to keep that place.
I don’t think most people will want to play against him. He’s very big, powerful, strong, quick and a threat in the air.
“When you’re going into Europe, you need certain players that can handle those occasions and evenings.
“He’s definitely one that has that experience.”
