Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the £30million valuation placed on Georginio Wijnaldum.

Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on his website the staggering price-tag placed on the Holland international by the Magpies.

The free-scoring midfielder, 25, was a regular starter for most of his debut season at St. James’ Park, scoring 11 times from his attacking midfield position while playing in all 38 Premier League games.

However, he was axed for some of the final matches of the 2015-16 season as the club tried in vain to escape relegation.

Nevertheless, manager Rafael Benitez is refusing to sell any player for less than what he feels is a fair fee.

The Chronicle reports that Wijnaldum  is wanted by a number of clubs around Europe, as well as West Ham and Everton.
