23-year-old to close in on Everton ace: Three things to expect from Tottenham v Man United
By Amir Mir
Tottenham will host Manchester United in a crucial Premier League match on Sunday afternoon at White Hart Lane.
It is set to be the final game to be played at Spurs’ old home as they will be looking to secure all three points for their supporters.
Here, Football Insider looks at three things to expect from the highly-anticipated encounter, which saw the away team record a 1-0 in during the reverse fixture in November.
Emotional day – There is no doubt that Sunday will be an emotional day for all associated with the club. There will be a number of ex-managers and club legends invited to attend the fixture as Spurs hope to win their final match to be played at White Hart Lane. They have not been beaten on home soil this term and the players will be looking to keep that record intact.
Secure runners-up spot – By the time Tottenham play United, current Premier League leaders Chelsea may have wrapped up the title. They play West Brom on Friday night, knowing three points will see them crowned champions. But a point for Mauricio Pochettino’s team will all but confirm that they are, at least, the runners-up for this campaign.

Kane to close in on Lukaku – At this moment in time, Everton ace Romelu Lukaku is leading the Premier League goalscoring charts with 24 strikes. However, he is being closely followed by Spurs’ frontman Harry Kane, who has scored 21 goals this term. The 23-year-old has had an injury-hit campaign but there is no doubt that he will close in on Lukaku and possibly overtake him before the seasons ends.
In other Tottenham news, Piers Morgan has said something Spurs fans thought they would never hear.
