Two Everton stars expected to be sold for ‘huge fees’ – sources
Could Everton be set to lose both Amadou Onana and Jarrad Branthwaite next summer?
Everton duo Amadou Onana and Jarrad Branthwaite are in line to be sold in the summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Toffees need to raise funds amid their financial woes, and the pair have emerged as the obvious candidates for the club to sell.
The club remain in financial turmoil amid their fight to remain in the Premier League, their pending takeover by 777 Partners and their 10-point deduction for breaching Profit and Sustainability rules in November.
Sean Dyche’s side are likely to be forced to sell some of their best players if they do not get their financial affairs in order, with sources telling Football Insider (9 February) that Jordan Pickford could also depart.
Both Branthwaite and Onana have been the subject of widespread interest in recent months following their standout displays this season and are expected to fetch “huge fees”, sources say.
Sources have told Football Insider (8 February) that the £60million-rated Onana is attracting interest from Newcastle United, who are currently leading the race, and Arsenal ahead of the summer window.
Football Insider also revealed earlier this month (5 February) that Man United are in pole position to sign Branthwaite, with several other Premier League sides preparing approaches in the off-season.
Branthwaite, who bagged Everton’s late equaliser against Tottenham last week (3 February), has become indispensable for Dyche this season having started 21 Premier League games.
Onana has scored two goals and provided one assist across 25 appearances from defensive midfield this season.

Everton sit 18th in the Premier League table after their 2-0 defeat against title contenders Man City on Saturday afternoon (10 February).
They are next set to face Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Monday 19 February.
