Agbonlahor: Aston Villa tipped to accept £5m Engels offer after key reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Aston Villa will sell Bjorn Engels if they get a £5million offer this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted the defender has been “found out” in the Premier League and needs to move on.
Football Insider revealed earlier this week the Midlands giants are set to tell Engels to find a new club in the summer window.
The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order this season and has not featured in the Premier League.
He started the first 11 Premier League games of last season alongside Tyrone Mings after his £7million move from Stade Reims.
This season, Mings has formed a formidable partnership with Ezri Konsa and Villa have kept 14 clean sheets in the league as a result.

“When you sign a player that doesn’t really play you’re always going to make a loss,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“You’re always going to lose money, you’re never going to make that money back.
“He’s going to have to have a think about where he’s going to go.
“I’m sure Aston Villa will try and get as much money as they can or not sell him.
“Maybe if they can recoup £4million or £5million, they’ll let him go.
“He’s a good defender but in the Premier League you get found out if you don’t have the pace.”
In Engels‘ 17 Premier League appearances last season, Villa kept just two clean sheets.
His only other two games in claret and blue came in the FA Cup third round and Carabao Cup final loss last term.
