Agbonlahor: Griffiths is in last chance saloon after Celtic update
Leigh Griffiths is in the last chance saloon at Celtic, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward delivered his verdict after Griffiths signed a new contract with the club.
Celtic confirmed at the beginning of the month the 30-year-old had penned a one-year extension after his old contract expired at the end of June.
He linked up with his Hoops teammates at their pre-season training camp in Wales but has now been sent home.
The BBC report Celtic have made the decision as they investigate allegations of improper online behaviour.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the BBC they are also making their own enquiries and are “assessing for criminality”.

On the pitch, Griffiths struggled for regular starts last season under both Neil Lennon and interim manager John Kennedy.
He ended the campaign with 26 appearances across all competitions that yielded seven goals and two assists.
“The new contract is his last chance,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“The club have probably thought ‘We’ll give you one last chance to show us the player you were before.’
“He’ll be going out there to try his best to find that form and score goals again.
“On his day, he’s a very, very good striker.”
Griffiths moved to Parkhead from Wolves in 2014 and has 123 goals and contributed 51 assists in 262 games across all competitions for Celtic.
The 22-time Scotland international missed out on a place in their squad for this summer’s Euros due to his poor club form.
