Agbonlahor hits back after Neville slams Aston Villa star Grealish live on air
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Jack Grealish does not have a problem with penalties even though he has not taken one for Aston Villa for two years.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer hit back at Gary Neville’s criticism of his former teammate.
Grealish did not take one of England’s five spot-kicks as they lost the European Championship final to Italy.
It was Arsenal’s teenage winger Bukayo Saka whose decisive penalty was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
That led to criticism from pundits, including Neville who claimed live on ITV there was “obviously something wrong” with Grealish’s penalties.
Grealish tweeted the next day he was keen to take a penalty but Gareth Southgate decided on the order.

He has not taken one for his club for two years with Anwar El Ghazi the designated taker at Villa.
Asked whether the Villa captain has an issue from 12 yards, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “No, no, no.
“Like he said, he wanted to take one.
“He can take penalties. It’s just one of those things. Maybe Southgate was the one that decided who took them so there’s not much more he could have done.
“He’s done everything he can in the tournament with the amount of minutes he’s had. He offered to take a penalty and didn’t get to take one.”
Grealish ended the tournament with two assists from five appearances, including one start.
The 25-year-old now has 12 England caps to his name but is yet to score for his country.
