Agbonlahor suggests new Gabriel Jesus role after Arsenal training image emerges
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Gabriel Jesus will “100%” have to settle for the bench upon his Arsenal return following Eddie Nketiah’s goalscoring streak.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted there will be “plenty of opportunities” for rotation with the Gunners still fighting on three fronts this season.
Jesus took to Instagram on Wednesday (via Twitter, 1 February) to reveal that he has returned to the grass as he steps up his injury return.
The former Man City striker last played for Arsenal on 12 November after suffering a knee injury while at the World Cup with Brazil.
Nketiah has scored six goals in seven games across all competitions since coming into the side to replace Jesus.
Jesus had notched five strikes and seven assists prior to his injury blow.

Arsenal sit top of the Premier League with a five-point margin and will take part in the Europa League knockout stage next month.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think Nketiah keeps his place, 100%.
“It could be a case of bringing Jesus on after 60 minutes if Nketiah hasn’t delivered.
“If Jesus then scores, he might start the next game. That’s how it works in football.
“It will all be fine. Arsenal have got FA Cup games and the Europa League to come – there’s plenty of opportunities to rotate players.
“I think it’s healthy competition for Mikel Arteta.”
