Alan Shearer humorously responds to Harry Kane's double in Tottenham win v Liverpool
By Russell Edge
Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has humorously suggested that Tottenham’s Harry Kane is going to break his Premier League goal scoring record after his performance against Liverpool on Sunday.
The 24-year-old netted a double against the Reds in a 4-1 victory to take his total to eight top flight goals for the season, which were his 85th and 86th Premier League goals of his career.
Following the win at Wembley, Shearer, the current Premier League goal scoring record holder, stated that Kane was coming for him and his record on his personal Twitter account.

The former Newcastle, Blackburn Rovers and Southampton striker netted 260 goals in 441 appearances from the debut season of the Premier League, with 112 of those coming for Rovers and 148 for the Magpies.
So far Kane has appeared in 125 league matches for Spurs, netting his 86 goals, with over 20 strikes in each of his last three seasons with the club.

That has seen him pick up two consecutive Premier League golden boot awards, just one less than Shearer picked up in the entirety of his career, with three awards in as many seasons between 1994 and 1997.
After his double against Liverpool Kane now leads the top scorers table for this season on eight, with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku just behind him on seven goals.
