Sevilla have agreed personal terms with Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, sources have told Football Insider.

The Spanish club are in advanced talks with the Gunners over an initial loan deal with performance-related conditions.

The deal would permit the loan to turn into an obligation to buy, if Sevilla wants to sign him permanently at the end of that period.

Lokonga spent last season on loan at Luton Town and is keen to join the La Liga club, according to sources.

The former Anderlecht youngster has two years left on his current deal at Arsenal after joining the club in 2021.

Sevilla are ready to give Albert Sambi Lokonga an opportunity

Despite being on the books at the Emirates Stadium for three years, the 24-year-old has only made 39 appearances for the club.

During that time he has been out on loan at Crystal Palace and Luton, gaining more Premier League experience.

Last season, Lokonga managed 17 Premier League appearances for Luton despite missing nine games due to a hamstring injury.

A move to Sevilla could provide the young midfielder with an opportunity to gain more minutes though, after being deemed surplus to requirements at Arsenal.

Lokonga isn’t the only player expected to exit Emirates Stadium this summer, as Kieran Tierney is also set to move on.
