Alisson’s stance on ‘forcing’ Liverpool transfer revealed amid Juventus update
Alisson will not try to engineer an exit from Liverpool this summer if a move is against the club’s wishes, sources have told Football Insider.
The goalkeeper is attracting significant interest from Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window, but he “won’t force an exit” from Anfield this summer, as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract.
Arne Slot is keen to keep hold of the 33-year-old for at least another season, having already lost several key leaders from his squad this summer, and sources say that Alisson is content with that stance.
The club hierarchy still view him as one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers, even though he was not able to play as many games as they would have liked this term.
Liverpool are eyeing another big summer after they failed to compete for the league title in 2025-26, and Slot is adamant that there is still a key place for Alisson in the squad.

Alisson’s current contract at Anfield does not provide him with long-term security, given that he is due to become a free agent this time next year, if nothing is done to tie him down.
Juventus’ attempts to try to prise him away from Merseyside in the coming months hinge around the offer of a long-term contract, providing him with far greater security in the latter stages of his career.

The Old Lady missed out on Champions League football on the final day of the Serie A season, but Alisson is also well aware of the fact that he was previously a huge success during his time in Italy with Roma.
His potential suitors are working hard to try to pull him away from Liverpool this summer, but it is already clear that Slot and Co. have little intention of allowing that to happen.
That could have changed had Alisson tried to force his way out, but with that seemingly not an option at this stage, it looks far more likely that he will stay put for next term at least.
Giorgi Mamardashvili to create big issue for Arne Slot
Football Insider revealed back in March that Giorgi Mamardashvili is frustrated at Liverpool due to the lack of opportunity that he has had since coming to the club.
The Georgian has routinely served as Alisson’s understudy when the veteran has been fit in recent years, but he is keen to try to secure more gametime in the next stage of his career.
It is expected that he could even be looking to depart Anfield this summer, amid long-term interest from clubs in Spain and elsewhere in Europe.
His stance on an exit could potentially leave Slot with a major issue if both of his goalkeepers were to depart.
