Liverpool are keeping close tabs on Fulham defender Antonee Robinson with a "big" January deal a realistic possibility, sources have told Football Insider

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the USA international will likely want to join an elite club either in January or next summer.

Fulham are expected to face a battle to keep hold of the 27-year-old in January following his impressive performances at Craven Cottage.

O’Rourke revealed the situation surrounding Robinson is “one to keep an eye on” as a “big deal” could happen next month.

The left-back is under contract in west London until 2028, providing Fulham with the opportunity to command a significant fee for his services.

Liverpool view Antonee Robinson as 'ideal signing'

Robinson previously spent more than a decade on Merseyside after progressing through the Everton academy.

But the Milton Keynes-born defender failed to make a senior appearance at Goodison Park before leaving the club for Wigan in 2019 and then moving on to Fulham the following year.

Robinson has featured 169 times at Craven Cottage over the past four years, with 118 of those outings coming in the Premier League.

The left-back has laid on six assists in 18 appearances for Marco Silva’s side this season, drawing the attention of Liverpool and other top clubs.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Liverpool view Robinson as an “ideal signing” ahead of the upcoming transfer window

But the Merseyside giants will have to match Fulham’s substantial asking price if they want to prize him away from Craven Cottage next month.
