Armando Broja backed to explode in new-look West Ham front three after latest update - pundit

Armando Broja can fulfil his potential to be a”top player” if he joins West Ham this summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted Broja would suit West Ham and could line up in a front three alongside Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen.

Football Insider first reported during the winter transfer window (24 January) that the 20-year-old was a target of the Hammers and they were lining up a move.

Sky Sports reported this week (21 June) that they are now ready to table a £30million offer to Chelsea for the striker who spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Southampton.

“He wasn’t as good as the second half of the season but he’s got the attributes to be a top player,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I feel he would suit West Ham and West Ham need that help. You could put Antonio on the right, Bowen on the left or Antonio on the left, Bowen on the right with Broja as a striker.

“You’ll probably get better from Antonio on the wing as well, using his pace and putting crosses in for the big man.

“It’s something they should definitely look at, West Ham, and try and get it over the line.”

After finding the net six times in his first 15 appearances across all competitions for Southampton, Broja ended the season with nine goals in 38 games.

The Albania international has a contract at Chelsea until the summer of 2025 after penning a new long-term deal last summer (2021).

In other news, West Ham have submitted a “phenomenal” player offer and he’s “very keen” to join.
