Arsenal 25-year-old wants Serie A move after glowing recommendation from Beckham - report
By Will Butcher
Jack Wilshere is keen to move to AC Milan after David Beckham urged the Arsenal ace to join the Serie A giants, according to a report.
The Mail claims the 25-year-old is being tracked by Crystal Palace, Watford, Benfica, Roma and AC Milan, after proving his fitness on loan with Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth this season.
But it is believed former England captain Beckham has swayed Wilshere, who hasone year remaining on his £90,000-a-week deal, into moving to Italy and joining Vincenzo Montella’s side.
Beckham, 41, had two successful loan spells with the Italian side during his career, moving to the San Siro in 2009 and 2010 on a temporary basis from MLS outfit LA Galaxy.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace’s knowledge of the club seems to have had a lasting effect on Wilshere, who is yet to decide on his future.

The report states that Wilshere will only leave the Gunners if current boss Arsene Wenger remains in charge, and decides to cash in on the 34-time England international.
Milan were interested in signing the midfielder on deadline day in the summer, after Wilshere was told to show he was over his injury demons by remaining fit elsewhere.
With Bournemouth, Wilshere has managed to remain uninjured and could yet have a future with the Gunners.
But after Beckham’s words of wisdom, the Stevenage-born midfielder could be set to move to Italy’s capital and join Joe Hart in looking to rejuvenate his career in Serie A.
Football Insider verdict:
Wilshere needs to be playing regular football at a top side if he is to both realise his potential and save his England career. Proving his fitness with Bournemouth, it is obvious that the needs regular game time to remain fit, rather than intermittent appearances that he is likely to receive under Wenger. Moving to Milan, then, could be perfect for Wilshere. Although Montella’s side possess an abundance of central midfielders, none are close to the standard that Wilshere is capable of and he would instantly become first choice at the San Siro if he can remain fit. Playing at one of Europe’s biggest institutions, Gareth Southgate is also likely to take note.
