'Jesus', 'A backbone' - Arsenal fans all saying the same thing after huge Wenger revelation

Arsenal fans are all in mutual agreement that Arsene Wenger was actually sacked and did not choose to step down from the helm as originally thought.

The North London club announced last week that the 68-year-old would be leaving at the end of the season in what was originally portrayed as a decision taken by the former Monaco manager to step down on his own accord, ending a 22-year spell with the Gunners.

But on the eve of their semi-final in the Europa League against Atletico Madrid, Wenger seemed to admit what the world had been suspecting all along and as quoted in The Sun he said that the decision was not of his own doing: “The timing was not my decision. The rest I have spoken about it already.”

And it was this that had Arsenal supporters affirming their beliefs on social media that they felt their manager was pushed and didn’t himself jump.

Rumours have gone into overdrive as to who will be taking over from Wenger.

With Brendan Rodgers already ruling himself out of the job, Carlo Ancelotti on his way to the Italian national football team post, and Joachim Low concerned that his World Cup exertions will wear him out, the candidates are thinning out.
