By Will Butcher
Arsenal fans have reacted with delight on Twitter after Lucas Perez was named in the Gunners starting eleven to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The 28-year-old has started just one other Premier League match this season, but comes into the side to replace Germany international Mesut Ozil who misses out through illness.
Summer signing Perez starts alongside attackers Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud for Arsene Wenger’s side, as Arsenal confirmed the official team news on their Twitter account.

Arsenal’s number nine has made just 10 league and cup appearances for the Gunners, as he struggles to oust Giroud and Sanchez for a place in the starting line up.
However, Perez has now been given a chance against Sam Allardyce’s new side as he looks to nail down a starting place in the north London giants line up.

Lucas Perez starts. Gets a chance to showcase his quality. Ozil not available that's a blow. Would have start Mustafi over Gabriel though ⚽️

Excited to see what Lucas Perez brings to the table though. If he plays well he could be looking at a decent run in the squad.
