Arsenal fans slam 30-year-old on Twitter after win v Lincoln
By Danny Wright
Arsenal fans were less than pleased with the performance of Olivier Giroud despite the striker grabbing a goal against Lincoln.
The Gunners ensured that their name features in the draw for the FA Cup semi-final with a 5-0 win at the Emirates, but it wasn’t as easy as it seemed for the Premier League side.
Lincoln are currently top of the National League and proved worthy adversaries in the first half as it took 45 minutes for Theo Walcott to break the deadlock.
Giroud scored the second of the game when he knocked the ball into an almost empty net after the goalkeeper deserted the goal to prevent a shot from Hector Bellerin.
Instead the Spanish right-back decided to cut the ball back to the 30-year-old striker, who grabbed his 12th goal of the season.

Either side of that goal was a very poor performance from the France international who was out-marked and out-muscled by the Lincoln defence.
Giroud was eventually taken off the pitch by Arsene Wenger in the 65th minute for Lucas Perez.
Following the win, supporters have voiced their opinions on social media and most of them have slated the striker for being totally useless and showing no attempt to try and get into the game.
Here is a selection of tweets from Arsenal fans about Giroud’s performance:
