It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Football Insider rates the Arsenal players after their 5-1 win against West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Petr Cech 7 – Hardly anything to do but looked commanding in his box when he needed to be. Couldn't do anything about the goal.

Gabriel 8 – Pulled up just before half-time and Wenger must have been fearing the worst, but he was okay. Played well in a position that isn't his own.

Shkodran Mustafi 7 – Solid part of a defence that never really looked like conceding, until Dimitri Payet assisted Andy Carroll with another of his brilliant free kicks.

Laurent Koscielny 8 – Arsenal’s rock at the back and made a vital block to stop a certain West Ham goal.

Nacho Monreal 7 – Space to roam on the left but couldn’t deliver the final ball. Decent at the back.

Francis Coquelin 7 – Picked up a yellow card for kicking the ball away but pressed well and had a decent game.

Granit Xhaka 7 – Relatively anonymous but helped Arsenal control the middle and is one of the few Gunners players willing to shoot on sight.

Theo Walcott 6 – Had a couple of decent chances and should have scored when he had a free header early on in the second half.

Mesut Ozil 8 – Won’t score many easier goals and should have had an assist as well. A solid display.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 7 – Enjoyed lots of space on the left but couldn’t deliver the final ball when he had time to punish the west ham defence. Made amends with a great goal late on.

Alexis Sanchez 9 – Displayed his full range of skills and looked for the ball everywhere. The 27-year-old laid the opening goal on a plate for Ozil and scored Arsenal’s second, which was a wonderful solo effort, before completing his hat-trick. The best player on the pitch by a mile. Unplayable.
