Shkodran Mustafi has vowed to fight to recover from his latest injury as soon as possible and admitted it was a “bitter” disappointment to take.
The centre-back picked up a hamstring injury during the 3-1 victory against Stoke at the Emirates on Saturday and he could be out until the new year.
It means he is likely to miss important fixtures against Everton, Manchester City and West Brom as Arsenal’s extensive injury list continues to grow following a number of set-backs in recent weeks.

Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey, Lucas Perez, Per Mertsacker, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez are just a few of the first team stars who have been out of action for varying spells throughout the season.
Mustafi has built a great partnership with Laurent Koscielny since joining the Gunners in the summer for £35 million from Spanish giants Valencia.
The 24-year-old has already made 17 appearances this season and had started the last four league games prior to picking up the hamstring injury.
He grabbed an assist in the impressive 5-1 victory against West Ham earlier this month and Arsenal will miss his aerial dominance in defence.
Arsenal currently sit in second place after Liverpool dropped points against Bournemouth and West Ham, and they are just three points off Chelsea at the top of the table.
In other Arsenal news, the club may be in talks with Aston Villa over this defender.
