Arsenal will invest in their first team squad this summer even though they owe more than any other Premier League side in outstanding transfer fees.
That is according to former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the nine-figure sum the London club still have to pay for previous transfers.
Football Insider pundit and football finance expert Kieran Maguire revealed on his Twitter that Arsenal owe £154m to other clubs for outstanding transfer fees – more than any other English side.

The club also announced last month that they made a post-tax loss of £47.8million for the year ending May 31 2020.
Campbell claimed the upcoming transfer window is the “most important for Arsenal in a long, long time” and suggested there would be big spending.
“I am not worried about the finances,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs. “The club brings in more than enough money to service that.
“It is a sign of the times for Arsenal because they have had to make move and they still need to revamp the squad.
“This is Mikel Arteta’s task, he has to reduce the age of this squad and bring in players in key positions.
“For me, this is the most important transfer window at Arsenal in a long, long time. What we are seeing at the moment is quite frankly not Arsenal. There needs to be investment in the summer and I think there will be.”
