Sheffield United will only sell John Fleck this summer if a club meets their £20million asking price amid growing interest from Arsenal, Football Insider has learned.

The central midfielder, 28, has been instrumental in the rise of Chris Wilder’s high flying side and is catching the eye of the Premier League giants.

A Blades source has told Football Insider that the club accept they may be vulnerable to losing Fleck in the summer window if his impressive form continues.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Arsenal are plotting long-term moves for the Rangers academy product as well as his right-back teammate George Baldock.

Central midfielder Fleck, 28, has been on Mikel Arteta’s radar for some time and his interest has intensified after the midfielder scored a late equaliser in Saturday’s 1-1 draw between the two clubs.

It was his fifth Premier League goal of the season and further demonstrated how well he’s taken to Premier League life.

A move this month is out of the question as United will not listen to offers for their first-team stars.

However, Fleck has a contract that expires in the summer of 2021, which means the Blades face a battle to keep him at the end of the campaign.

Signed on a free contract in the summer of 2016, Fleck has been instrumental in United’s climb up the divisions and to establishing them in the Premier League this season.

The former Rangers and Coventry City man has made 160 appearances for United, scoring 13 goals and supplying a hugely impressive 41 assists from midfield.

In other Arsenal news, it can be REVEALED that the club are keen on making Premier League 23-year-old their marquee summer signing.
