Arsenal backed to submit 'unbelievable' Vinicius Junior offer

Arsenal will table an "unbelievable" offer to lure Vinicius Junior away from Real Madrid as they continue to chase a sensational move.

The 26-year-old is now firmly on Arsenal's radar following internal talks about whether or not a deal would be feasible for the Premier League champions.

Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in a world-class talent out wide, and the Brazil superstar has emerged as the dream target if he can be convinced to join.

Former Man United chief scout Mick brown told Football Insider that Real Madrid have not ruled out letting Vinicius Junior go, and Arsenal could look to take advantage.

The main concern for the Gunners is about the winger's hefty wage demands, which are believed to be in excess of £400,000 per week on his Real Madrid contract.

However, should the higher-ups at the Emirates deem the move to be financially viable, then Arteta is ready to push forward with plans to bring Vinicius Junior to Arsenal.

Will Arsenal make a move to sign Vinicius Junior?

Football Insider revealed on 26 July that Arsenal have opened preliminary talks over a move for Vinicius Junior as they put plans in place to step up their initial interest.

The Premier League champions have now registered their interest in signing the winger, and intermediaries are playing a key role in dealing with early negotiations.

Vinicius Junior is still seen as an ambitious target for Arsenal given his status and mammoth wage demands, but they are keen to do a deal should it be possible.

"Arsenal are going to make an unbelievable offer for Vinicius Junior," Brown told Football Insider.

"His wages are bound to be a problem for any club, because he's making around £20million per year at Real Madrid, and Arsenal have to decide whether they can match that.

"Plus, Real Madrid aren't going to let him go for nothing, so they're going to have to reach an agreement over what will be a big fee for them as well.

"It's not an easy deal to do by any means, but it does seem to be one that Arsenal are working on, and if they decide the finances make sense, then it could happen.

"Real Madrid haven't ruled out letting him go, that's the main thing. They could quite easily come out and say he's not going anywhere, as they have done before.

"But it seems they've left the door open, so if Arsenal come in with a big offer and believe they can convince the player, then Mikel Arteta will be pushing for it.

"It's a position Arteta has been looking to strengthen in for years, so if they can go out and sign a superstar like Vinicius Junior, that would be the dream."

How do Real Madrid feel about selling Vinicius Junior?

The major potential stumbling block in Arsenal's move for Vinicius Junior revolves around Real Madrid's stance and the finances that will likely be involved in any deal.

The Brazil international remains very highly regarded at the Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho reluctant to lose a star player, and talks are underway over a new contract.

Football Insider revealed in April that Real Madrid have been locked in talks with Vinicius Junior in an attempt to extend his stay beyond the current 2027 expiry.

At the time, the report came amid links with a move to Man City or Liverpool, with England's biggest clubs all keeping a close eye on his situation.

Arsenal have now seemingly moved into pole position to get a deal done, and while Madrid remain keen to keep hold of the winger, they have not ruled out his departure.
