Bukayo Saka will miss several significant Arsenal games over the next six-eight weeks after suffering an injury to his quad.

The 25-year-old was forced off against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, pulling up in pain after he had passed the ball.

The winger was seen walking without crutches after the game, but scans are expected to confirm a number of weeks on the injury table.

Arsenal's attacking depth is already lacking after Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus all left the club in the summer with only Christos Tzolis arriving.

The Greece international is currently injured himself after suffering a problem on international duty, but is expected to return to action imminently.

Saka's injury may well provide opportunities for Max Dowman, who will automatically become the second choice after Noni Madueke.

What Arsenal games will Bukayo Saka miss?

Unfortunately, Saka's new injury is the latest in a long line of problems for the winger.

Achilles issues, hamstrings, hips and now quad injuries have been a constant for the England international in recent years.

Saka looked to have got over those issues this season, but will now spend a significant amount of time back on the recovery table.

Should he miss the full eight weeks, the winger could return for the trip to Crystal Palace on the 27th December.

He will have missed several key games, including a trip to face Liverpool next week, and clashes against Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund after the November international break.

The end of November will see Saka miss the visit of Manchester City, before the North London derby at Tottenham and a match-up with Real Madrid follow.

The 25-year-old will hope to make it back for the visit of Manchester United in December, but even this could come too soon.

Is Max Dowman ready to step in?

Dowman is being managed carefully at Arsenal and will not be thrown straight in after Saka's injury.

The 16-year-old has only made one start this season so far, scoring twice against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup.

With Madueke currently Arsenal's only other recognised right-winger, however, Mikel Arteta may not be left with any choice.

Should Dowman be asked to step up, there is confidence that he will rise to the occasion.
