Arsenal managed to pick up all three points against Napoli in dramatic fashion on Wednesday as a late Martin Odegaard goal ensured they won 1-0 in the Champions League.

It had been a frustrating display in Naples, with the Gunners struggling to find the net despite their dominance.

However, Christos Tzolis would help resolve this problem as he came off the bench to set up the Arsenal captain for the winner.

It was another wonderful performance from the 24-year-old, who had fallen out of the starting XI for the clash.

Now, Tzolis has shown Mikel Arteta that he is simply undroppable and has to be one of the first names on the team sheet every week.

This is shown in his stats, with the Greek international being one of the stars of the show.

How good was Christos Tzolis vs Napoli?

Tzolis no doubt had an excellent game against Napoli.

Coming on in the 66th minute, he proved to be one of the biggest threats throughout the match and was deserving of yet another assist.

According to Fotmob on 10 September, he completed 91 per cent of his passes, created two chances, had three shots with two going on target, had a 0.77 xG and had six touches in the opposition box.

Therefore, Tzolis is simply undroppable for Arsenal, as the club cannot afford to waste a player of this quality on the bench.

As a result, the winger has to be back in the line-up for the Gunners’ next game against Sunderland and cannot be removed anytime soon.

Did Arsenal dominate Napoli?

There is no doubt that Arsenal were deserved victors against Napoli.

According to the stats, the Gunners had 58 per cent possession, 26 shots, eight of which were on target, 51 touches in the opposition box, five big chances and a 4.05 xG.

In comparison, Napoli had 42 per cent possession, five shots, three of which were on target, eight touches in the opposition box and a 0.22 xG.

Therefore, it was an excellent performance from the Gunners, who will only be disappointed that they didn’t score more goals.

However, it remains to be seen if they can replicate this type of display going forward.
