Transfer expert reveals how much Arsenal will have to pay to lure Vinicius Junior

Arsenal will have to stump up £150million if they are to pull off a staggering deal to sign Vinicius Junior this summer.

That is the opinion of legendary former Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa scout, Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.

The 26-year-old's contract at the Bernabeu has just one year remaining, with negotiations seemingly at an impasse between the player and the club.

If no agreement is found, Real Madrid will be eager to sell Vinicius Jr this summer instead of losing him on a free next year, with Arsenal positioning themselves as a serious contender to buy him this summer.

And with the Spanish giants on the verge of completing a big-money deal for Yan Diomande, the likelihood of the winger's exit appears to be growing.

Sources have indicated to Football Insider that preliminary negotiations between Arsenal and the player have already begun, but the Gunners are awaiting the outcome of new contract talks.

Arsenal for sensational Vinicius Junior move

For some time, it has looked as if Arsenal are lacking a serious superstar attacker to take them to the next level.

Bukayo Saka could and should be the man, but the winger has had countless injuries in recent seasons and has not been able to take the mantle.

Vinicius Jr would absolutely fit that bill, however, and compete with Erling Haaland as the biggest name in the Premier League itself.

But it remains a long shot for Arsenal, who will be eagerly awaiting the outcome of this week's contract talks.

"Well, he's only got a year left on his contract. If they're going to make money, now's the time they're going to make it, if they want him to go," King told Football Insider.

"A very exciting player. He'd be a fantastic player to get in the Premier League, wouldn't he? Transfer-wise from abroad, it would certainly be one of the biggest names obviously to come into the Premier League.

"He's got Brazilians in the Arsenal side, hasn't he? Gabriel. So, he certainly wouldn't feel out of place. But the decision's going to be now, will he sign it?

"Are Real using this as a way to get him to sign a new contract? Or are they trying to get Arsenal to come in with a big money offer? Arsenal have got to come in with £150m if they want him."

Vinicius Jr move would be historic for Premier League

Vinicius Jr would be a staggering arrival for the Premier League and for Arsenal.

Not long ago, it was thought that such a move would only be possible for the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United, but the Gunners appear ready to put down the money.

Big previous moves have often had factors such as an ageing or young player or an internal issue at their current club, but should Arsenal sign Vinicius Jr, they will be taking one of the world's best in his prime from Real Madrid.

It remains unclear whether the move will indeed happen, but the possibility is extremely exciting.
