Ashley Williams: This Everton teenager has immense potential (not Davies)

By Harvey Byrne

Ashley Williams has hailed the potential of up and coming Everton star and teenager Ademola Lookman.

The 19-year-old attacker made the step up to the Premier League in January from League One side Charlton for £7.5million.

He has already played five times for the Toffees in a time when the club has a number of up and coming players such as Tom Davies, Mason Holgate and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Everton youngsters have received a lot of praise from onlookers this season, but it was Lookman who was singled out for praise by teammate Williams.

“Ademola has really good potential but he is also ready to play in the first team already,” told Williams to the official Everton website.

“He has a lot to learn, everyone does at that age, but he has made an impact already and given us something different that we didn’t have.

“He is a bit of a wild card. Teams don’t know him so well. He is a nice lad as well and has got his head down, worked hard every day and is listening.”

Lookman already has 54 senior appearances to his name at his young age after breaking through the youth ranks at Charlton in 2015.

From those appearances the left-winger has scored 13 goals and bagged three assists and he has already got off the mark for Everton with his goal in the 4-0 victory over Manchester City.

He will now be looking to push on and fans will be hoping to see a lot more from him in the future.

Ronald Koeman’s side are currently sat in seventh place in the league and they will be looking to pick up all three points once more against bottom of the league Sunderland on Saturday.
