Ramsey tipped for Championship move by Agbonlahor after big development
Aston Villa starlet Jacob Ramsey will head out on loan to a Championship or League One side next season as he looks for more game time.
That is according to ex-Aston Villa goalscorer Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Ramsey signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal last week.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2020-21, making 11 senior appearances across all competitions.

The midfielder has featured in six of the last 10 Premier League fixtures but has made just one start in the top-flight so far and is behind the likes of John McGinn, Ross Barkley, Douglas Luiz and Morgan Sanson in Dean Smith’s pecking order.
Agbonlahor predicts that Ramsey will be loaned out to a lower league side for the 2021-22 season and the additional exposure to first-team football will help him grow.
“I rate him highly, he’s got loads of potential,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“The only hard thing for Jacob Ramsey is will he get the game-time that he needs to keep improving?
“He isn’t above the likes of Barkley and Sanson so it will be hard for him to get that game-time, especially with Villa out of the FA Cup.
“Maybe he needs to try and get a loan in the summer, go and play a season in the Championship or League One, just go and play some football. That will improve him.
“Getting 10 or 15 minutes here and there isn’t going to improve him as a player.
“Aston Villa have signed him on a long contract so I think that’s what will happen next season.”
Ramsey spent the second half of last season out on loan with League One Doncaster Rovers.
He made seven appearances during his time at the Keepmoat Stadium, scoring three goals.
