'Bruce has got to go' - Aston Villa fans destroy manager as 28-year-old is benched v Preston

By Danny Wright

Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to rage after the starting line-up was announced for their clash against Preston at Deepdale on Wednesday night.

The Villains have won just one of their last three matches and it seems that fans are starting to get impatient with Steve Bruce was again, with many taking issue at his decision to exclude Neil Taylor from his starting XI despite him being available again after suspension.

The West Midlands side announced the team news on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off.

Traditional right-back Alan Hutton has been drafted in to play at left-back while Taylor, 28, is named to watch on from the bench when play gets underway.

Many supporters believe that this is a massive gaffe by Bruce, and one has even suggested that the ex-Sunderland and Birmingham boss should be sacked if he fails to secure a result against Preston on Wednesday.

Wales international Taylor has been ever-present for Villa this season before his three-game ban which followed his sending off against Bolton.

He has made 11 appearances, starting every time, but he may have to make due with just a role warming the bench at Deepdale.

In other Aston Villa news, this top-flight enforcer has made an emphatic decision after the Villains made an approach to sign him ahead of January.
