Aston Villa fan favourite Jordan Amavi has made an emphatic decision about his future and decided to reject interest from Marseille – but fans on Twitter believe he will leave in the summer.
French outlet L’Equipe claim that the 22-year-old has had an offer of £8.6million tabled by the Ligue 1 outfit but manager Steve Bruce, who is unwilling to let him go, believes he is triple that.
It is said that the highly-rated defender does not want to make a move back to his homeland, with Marseille manager Rudi Garcia a big admirer.
Left-back Amavi, who joined the club from Nice during the summer of 2015, suffered a season-ending knee injury four months into his Villa Park debut.
Since his return, the club dropped down into the Championship, where he has since established himself as a first-team regular under Bruce.
Fans believe that the highly-rated full-back will leave when the season finishes with Villa currently ten points off the play-off places.
Another supporter stated the Villa Park faithful should be happy that he has reportedly decided to stay at the club.
However, others felt that the club should let him go after L’Equipe claimed he deiced to snub French outfit, especially considering £25million was offered for his services by a Chinese side.
Owner Tony Xia previously confirmed that they had turned down that big money offer as the Frenchman looks set to stay in the Midlands.
Amavi is the only remaining left-back at the club after Villa loaned out backup man Aly Cisskho to Greece side Olympiacos.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

@VillaTill Good news but doubt we keep him next year – unless we pull off a miracle and get promoted.
