Ross McCormack wants to leave Aston Villa after his recent bust-up with manager Steve Bruce, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Villa senior player has been demoted to the Under-23s and he could leave in the next week.
The 30-year-old was publicly shamed over the weekend by his manager after he revealed that the striker had missed training last week because of his faulty gates.

McCormack was absent from the club’s matchday squad that drew 2-2 with Preston and Bruce also revealed that the summer signing was unfit and was continually missing training.
Now, it is said that Villa could let their record-breaking forward leave the club, six months after purchasing him from Championship rivals Fulham.
McCormack made a then Championship record £12million summer switch from Craven Cottage to Villa Park.
However, since his move, he has struggled for form, scoring just three goals in all competitions this season.
Football Insider verdict:
Villa should cut ties with McCormack after his recent behaviour towards the club. Bruce cannot afford an unfit and unprofessional senior player at Villa Park. Since McCormack walked through the doors of Bodymoor Heath, he has been a problem for the club in the attacking department. His failure to score goals has been one of the reasons why Villa are sitting nine points off the top six. The Scotland international clearly has his mind elsewhere and should be dealt with in the simplest of manners, either sold permanently or loaned out. More than likely, the Midlands side will make a loss from the £12million they paid for him. But, in these circumstances, it’s the first and only step the promotion chasers need to make.
