Sources: Jadon Sancho in talks with Premier League club after Aston Villa snub
Jadon Sancho's agent has held talks with multiple Premier League clubs since his exit from Man United, sources have told Football Insider.
A number of top-flight sides have been approached about the 26-year-old's availability after he left Man United on a free transfer in June, although it is unclear how strong the interest is.
Aston Villa were given the opportunity to sign the winger following his loan spell, but opted against making his stay permanent as a result of his lofty wage demands.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Sancho's agent is working hard to find his next club and has spoken to Premier League suitors.
Despite being snubbed by Aston Villa, the former England international remains highly sought-after, and multiple English clubs have considered making moves this month.
After the transfer window closed on 1 September, Sancho is being eyed as an option for clubs who missed out on signing attacking reinforcements during the summer.
How close is Jadon Sancho to joining his next club?
Football Insider revealed on 11 September that Sancho is not expected to join his next club imminently, and instead will take his time to assess a number of options.
Premier League clubs are not the only ones to have expressed an interest in the winger, with sides in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Brazil and Turkey all keeping tabs on his situation.
Sancho's agent has held talks with a number of clubs and offered his client given his availability, but it remains to be seen whether any of them will follow up their interest.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on Jadon Sancho's situation.
"His representatives have been offering him around and speaking to a number of Premier League clubs, who have shown an interest because of his free agent status.
"Talks have been held, but at the moment, it remains to be seen whether any of the clubs approached will be prepared to make a move for him.
"There's been interest as you said from the UAE, Saudi Pro League, Turkey and even in Brazil as well, so as things stand, Sancho is weighing up all of the options available to him.
"He'll be hoping that he can get back playing and fixed up with the new club as soon as possible, and work is being done to find him a move."
Why did Aston Villa back out of signing Sancho?
Interest in Sancho comes as Aston Villa opted against signing him early in the summer window, despite having impressed during his loan spell under Unai Emery.
The winger played a key role in the Europa League-winning side, but Villa opted against making his stay permanent, and instead landed the signing of Alejandro Garnacho on loan.
Former Aston Villa scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Aston Villa pulled the plug on signing Sancho as he would not budge over his lofty financial demands.
The same issue saw the winger miss out on a move to Chelsea following his loan spell at Stamford Bridge in the 2024-25 season, despite the Blues agreeing terms with Man United.
His demands are believed to be at a similar level to the £250,000 per week he was earning at Man United, pricing him out of a move to most European clubs during the summer.
