Sources: Jadon Sancho transfer update after Man United exit
Jadon Sancho is not expected to join a new club imminently despite having left Man United in June, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old has now been a free agent for almost three months, but his next move is not believed to be imminent as he continnues to weigh up his options.
A number of Premier League clubs, as well as some across Europe and in the Middle East, are believed to have shown an interest without any formal offers arriving.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Sancho is highly sought after despite his difficulties at Man United and has no shortage of takers.
However, he has yet to find a club willing to match his demands after two loan spells at Aston Villa and Chelsea where he impressed in moments but couldn't seal permanent moves.
This comes amid links with club in the Premier League, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Brazil, Germany and Turkey, but there are currently no clear front-runners for his signature.
Where is Jadon Sancho's most likely destination?
Football Insider revealed earlier this summer that a number of clubs had been placed on alert by Man United's decision to let Sancho leave on a free transfer.
The opportunity to land a player who is still highly thought of without an immediate transfer fee is believed to be inticing for a number of interested clubs across world football.
However, no clubs have come forward with an approach as things stand, as the former England international continues to weigh up his options ahead of his next move.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Sancho will be one of the most highly sought after free agents still on the market, but I don't think anything's immediate on that one.
"I think it's probably more of a possibility rather than any immediate move being in the offing for him right now.
"There's been interest as you said from the UAE, Saudi Pro League, Turkey and even in Brazil as well with clubs across world football keeping a close eye on his situation.
"Look, right now, Sancho is weighing up all the options that are available to him and he'll be hoping that he can get back playing and fixed up with the new club as soon as possible."
Could Sancho return to Borussia Dortmund?
One of the clubs which has been heavily linked with making a move for Sancho in recent days is Borussia Dortmund, where he has previously enjoyed such success.
The Bundesliga outfit remain strong admirers of the 26-year-old following his two separate loan spells, but recent reports have seen them distance themselves from the speculation.
This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Sancho would be "lucky" to return to Dortmund but would have to lower his wage demands.
The winger's lofty wage demands have priced him out of moves, and there are doubts about whether he would be willing to take a cut in order to stay in Europe.
Much of the talk about his future will hinge around his wage demands, which have previously seen both Chelsa and Aston Villa back away from offering him permanent deals.
