Alejandro Garnacho's full stats show exactly how he can be a revelation at Aston Villa
Aston Villa must take a chance on Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho by launching an official bid.
The 22-year-old heavily disappointed at Stamford Bridge last season and has now been linked with a move to Villa Park.
The Argentina international could become Morgan Rogers’ replacement, with the England ace set to move to Chelsea in the coming days.
A Garnacho move to Villa would likely disappoint a lot of the Villa Park faithful, especially after his poor 2025-26 campaign.
The former Manchester United star was dropped from the starting XI numerous times last season due to his performances.
However, there are plenty of stats that suggest the winger could become an instant hit at the Birmingham outfit.
Alejandro Garnacho was still a creative mastermind last season
While Garnacho may not have picked up loads of goals and assists last season, it seems he was still doing a lot right on the pitch.
According to Fotmob on 21 July, the winger was creating plenty of chances for his Chelsea teammates, and would have ended up with more assists if he had more game time.
Per 90 minutes, he was averaging 0.28 assists, a 0.26 xA, 2.06 chances created and 0.43 big chances created in the Premier League.
Therefore, if he is given consistent game time at Villa Park, he could prove to be an excellent asset for the club.
As a result, Villa must make an official offer for the winger and see if they can get a good deal.
If so, Garnacho could go a long way to filling the hole that is set to be left by Rogers’ exit.
Who else could Aston Villa sign?
Garnacho is not the only player who could arrive at Villa Park from Chelsea this summer.
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Chelsea have offered Villa Liam Delap this summer.
The striker heavily struggled in his first year at Stamford Bridge, and only netted one Premier League goal.
Therefore, despite Chelsea’s offer, Villa are simply not interested in the signing.
Nicolas Jackson is on the Birmingham outfit’s radar. However, it remains to be seen if Villa and Unai Emery are able to get a deal done for the Senegal international over the coming weeks.
