Aston Villa fans have made it clear that they do not want Chelsea flop Alejandro Garnacho to sign for the club this summer.

Reports have emerged that the Blues have made the 22-year-old winger available, and Villa have now opened talks about potentially bringing him in this summer.

The Birmingham outfit are in need of a new wideman ahead of Morgan Rogers’ expected departure to Chelsea in the coming days.

However, the Villa Park faithful are not keen on the attacker making the move to their club just a year after joining the Blues from Manchester United.

Garnacho flopped at Stamford Bridge last season and picked up just 12 goal contributions in all competitions after his £40million move.

As a result, the idea of signing the Argentine international has not proven to be a popular one among supporters.

Garnacho was once seen as one of the most promising players in the Premier League.

The winger burst onto the scene at Old Trafford and even won the Puskas Award for an outrageous overhead kick against Everton in the 2023-24 campaign.

However, his stock has dramatically fallen in recent seasons, and he even dropped out of Chelsea’s starting XI in certain periods last campaign.

As a result, when The Athletic reported that Aston Villa were eyeing a move for the 25-year-old, fans were appalled.

Many took to X to demand that Unai Emery and the club not go through with the transfer this summer.

Who else could replace Morgan Rogers at Aston Villa?

Former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Aston Villa are looking to replace Rogers with Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder was one of the best players in the Premier League last season as they avoided relegation.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been on Aston Villa's radar in the last few transfer windows, and they are now well-placed to make a move following Rogers' departure.

A move is not expected to come cheap, but the allure of Champions League football could help convince the England international of completing a move across the Midlands.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who Villa will look to sign over the coming weeks.
